Prado Museum Collection

We present NWHR's new collection for the Museo del Prado . In it, we reinterpret the book Tomon Hyakka (One Hundred Designs of Beautiful Things from the Capital), composed of a series of traditional prints from the Meiji era.

The original Tomon Hyakka is a splendid set of designs published in Kyoto in 1891 and composed of two volumes with fifty prints each. Since 2007, the Prado has held a copy of the first volume of this work in its Cabinet of Drawings, Prints, and Photographs collection. This work, from the collection of Antonio Correa Ruiz (1923–2008), has never been exhibited or reproduced before.

This is a 16-piece collection we created for the Prado Museum, fusing traditional Japanese aesthetics with streetwear. 100% of the collection was produced within 250km of our offices in A Coruña , thus opting for local production using 100% GOTS organic cotton.
